Shocked ? Don’t be , even i was when i heard this some years back , but there is proof which even you can cross check.
Apparently Microsoft Has been using a Cracked Version of Soundforge to create the Windows Tour Audio Files.
How to check it ?
Here is the Procedure.
- Go to this Location “C:\WINDOWS\Help\Tours\WindowsMediaPlayer\Audio\Wav” I am assuming “C:” As your System Drive.
- Now open Notepad and drag and drop any WAV file from the above location.
- Let the file open fully into Notepad and then Scroll down to extreme Below of the File.
- Can you see the Text “2000-04-06 IENG Deepz0ne ISFT Sound Forge 4.5” ?
- Yes ? Thats the Proof of Microsoft Using a Pirated Copy of SourceForge to Create those files.
Why ?
These files have been made with Sound Forge 4.5 (The cracked version) first cracked by a cracker called “Deepz0ne”.
Deepz0ne was one of the founders of the cracking group “Radium” and cracked the first ever Sound Forge 4.5, for illegal, pirate use.
It seems that Microsoft have got the pirate copy, and just made the files on that.
This is As per Urban Dictionary And many other Trusted sources. This is because Deepz0ne’s digital signature is present in all copies of his cracked software, as well as any files made with it.
So now you know , what do you think about it ? Comment and Let us Know.

OMG! This is one shocking discovery, I must say.
Reading anything like this for the first time.
Really………….this is unbelievable.
Yup , This one shocked me too , didn't knew about it first.
Has this been reported to Microsoft ? what are their views on this ?
The most they Did was to "NOT RESPOND" yeah , MS didn't paid attention to any of this , AFAIK they said it was on Systems using Cracked Versions. However when proven wrong they just "Shut Up".
