According to the Chromium Development Blog Now Chrome 6 got a Web Page Load Test Module Built in , earlier We blogged about how to test your web Page load time using Tools like Pingdom , which I use often to see if my site is lagging and causing the end users issues in load .
But now its good to know that Chromium Development has added the new web Page Load Time Module to Chromium , its a good addition to the already Inbuilt developers tools it had , like DOM Viewer , Selection Source Code etc.
The Web page load test will look somewhat like as given below.
The Above Graph as Explained by the Blog
The vertical line labeled “Legacy navigation started” is the earliest time a web page can reliably measure without Web Timing. In this case, instead of a misleading 80ms load time, it is now possible to see that the user actually experienced a 274ms time. Including this missing phase will make your measurements appear to increase. It’s not because pages are getting slower – we’re just getting a better view on where the time is actually being spent.
Conclusion : If google starts to rank pages based on the load time also , so we may see some really nice and fast web sites around , happiness for end user
