A Few months ago , it was considered to be not so feasible to have a Portable Firewall protecting you , unlike the one we normally have on our System , Integrated and more secure. Ok i am not Saying that it out performs the Installed Counterpart of Firewall , but atleast gives you Portable Security to a Level then having no security at all. About 1 week ago i logged into AxisBank’s Portal to do a Bit of Fund Transfer , and suddenly saw the NetSecure Demo It loked prettt good to me and i registered for the 1-Touch Device and after registering they said to deliver it within 10 days , And so they did , i got the package about a Half an hour ago and wanted to share this piece of info.

As Per AxisBank NetSecure is explained as follows :

Double Security for your Online Fund Transfers

We at Axis Bank have always endeavored to provide the best of banking services to our customers. Our latest initiative is NETSECURE, which is a two factor authentication system to provide added security to your online banking transactions.

NETSECURE is a secured system, wherein two different parameters (one that you already know, like login id and password and second, a single usage password that you will receive while conducting the transaction) are used together to verify your identity on the Internet. Using two factors as opposed to one factor (just the login id and password) ensures heightened security for your online transactions.

It is mandatory to register for NETSECURE to transfer funds online. Once you are registered for NETSECURE, you will receive your NETSECURE Code – a single usage password, that will ensure double security for your online fund transfers. You can choose between three types of NETSECURE: NETSECURE with SMS (using your mobile phone), NETSECURE with WebPin (registration of a computer) or NETSECURE with 1-Touch (a small hardware device). This choice needs to be made when you register for NETSECURE online.

Using this device is extremly easy -

So how to take the most out of your avast to do a Boot Time Scan . Just read on.

Do it atleast once so it can register in what state your current files are in , So it can cure it back later when required (Infected) .

• Your system configration is too low. Well it happends sometimes that many users run much heavy applications and do simultaneous works besides keeping the AV to do its job.Here the AV may tend to become slow a bit , So its detection time may lag. In such cases don’t depend on the automatic scans always and do a manual scan over the pen drives or downloaded files and all.

Some points to remember before scheduling the scan .

• You don’t know where the Virus is , But the AV does , so let it scan all of your computer.
• Quarentining Won’t help you if its infected , because it will again infect your file when back to its location.
• Don’t keep the Virus or infected file. Simple rule , if you keep it then its again going to infect and this time damage can be even more.
• Allow infected system files to be deleted , yeah may shock you but really , if a System file is infected then it can actively participate in infecting your PC from beginning so allow it to get deleted , and the core system files can be replaced using OS’s Setup CD/DVD anytime so don’t fear it.

So taken note of above that and we are going to proceed now.

To Schedule a Boot time Scan you have to Start avast! first so ..

Start -> (All) Programs -> avast! Antivirus -> avast! Antivirus

Let it scan the memory , after it do proceed next , in the Main UI go to

Menu -> Schedule Boot Time Scan

After than a Boot Time Schedule Dialog will get open , there just watch the screenshot and copy the Settings as given below.

That is

Scan All of your Disk Area for Infection

Also Scan Archived / Compressed Files [Normally AV Skips that]

Schedule it to delete the infected file when found.

And allow deletion of Infected System Files.

All of the reasons of why you should do that is given in above Paragraph !!
